Iowans for Nebraska
Our mission is to cooperate with the Nebraska Alumni Association to inform, actively engage, and recognize graduates, former students and friends of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and to encourage and coordinate activities of graduates, former students and friends in support of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Membership is open to all persons having an interest in supporting the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Our mission is serving and enriching alumni by attracting and retaining them through involvement.
Iowans for Nebraska provides social opportunities for fans and friends of the University of Nebraska to gather in support of the University. Club meetings are held on the third Thursday every month at the Chicken Coop in West Des Moines. The Chicken Coop is also the location for football watch parties in the fall. I4N also hosts a golfing and charity auction event each summer, the Sean Callahan Husker football recruits presentation each winter, and a bi-annual football tailgate party when Nebraska plays Iowa State in Ames. All Iowans for Nebraska events are open to those interested in joining Iowans 4 Nebraska.
Iowans for Nebraska performs community service projects for the betterment of our Iowa neighbors. Past community services projects have included working with Habitat for Humanity, assisting at the Make-A-Wish Jolly Holiday Lights, and Salvation Army bell ringing.
Iowans for Nebraska also provides annual scholarship funds encouraging Iowa high school students to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
